Petition to Sullivan Entertainment

Part I.

Once upon a time there were early seasons and episodes of the famous Canadian TV series called Road to Avonlea. These episodes had brilliant, heartwarming, familiar music themes composed by famous Canadian composer Mr. John Welsman. He won 3 Gemini Awards over the years for his Avonlea compositions. Time passed, new episodes came, and the music was changed and composed by other composers. Avonlea music is available at Sullivan Entertainment's online store called Sullivan Boutique on an audio CD called Road to Avonlea CD. But unfortunately this CD contains music themes from the latest episodes only... No Welsman-composed music is included on this CD. No Gus Pike theme, no Peg Bowen theme, no opening credits of the first few seasons... Some Avonlea-fans got in touch with Sullivan Entertainment and with Mr. John Welsman more than a year ago (there was a petition with a little more than 100 signatures) and asked for the ORIGINAL Avonlea music themes but they were unsuccessful until this time. John Welsman said he could not release his music under the auspices of Road to Avonlea because Sullivan Entertainment owned rights of Road to Avonlea trademark, logos etc. Sullivan Entertainment said it could not release a new Avonlea-CD with Welsman's music because John Welsman owned rights of his music themes... John Welsman promised to get in touch with Kevin Sullivan about this situation, but nothing has been done. Today fans are waiting for the REAL Avonlea soundtrack CD and nobody is doing anything that promotes this affair.

I decided to set up this site to show Sullivan Entertainment and John Welsman how many Avonlea-fans would like to listen to their loved Avonlea-themes from a REAL Avonlea soundtrack CD. This site is a PETITION to both parties. I do not wish to offend anybody at Sullivan Entertainment or John Welsman himself, I only would like to call everybody's attention to this important question.

Welsman and Sullivan worked together for years. Why can they not work together again and release the requested audio CD? Many devoted Avonlea-fans would pay lots of money if they could listen to their beloved Avonlea-music from a well-designed CD (instead of trivial typoes of course...)

Mr. Welsman and Mr. Sullivan: Please make up your minds and make this CD available for thousands of Avonlea fans!

Part II.

I have some more requests to Sullivan Entertainment.

Road to Avonlea consists of 91 episodes. Only about half of the episodes are available on videotapes and only a very few episodes are available on DVDs. These DVDs are made for Region 2 countries only, so these ones do not work in the US and in Canada. There are lots of missing scenes and behind the scenes shots which have never been shown.

Anonlea fans (myself included) would like more episodes released on videotapes and on DVDs and would like to see as many behind the scenes shots and missing scenes as possible. These shots could be available on DVDs for example. Briefly:

We would like more and quality Avonlea stuff! More DVDs, no typoes!
